3D Honeycomb Boosted

Outline

The 3D Honeycomb Boosted is a carrier for high-density three-dimensional culture (3D culture) made by processing atelocollagen into a spongy scaffold with honeycomb-like through-holes. With a size of Φ5 mm x height 5 mm, which fits in a 96-well plate, it is possible to cultivate 106 cells on a scale approaching that of a 35 mm dish.

Features

  • The honeycomb structure facilitates the access of nutrients to the cultured cells and the removal of waste products from the sponge, allowing cells to proliferate within the sponge.

  • It has high resilience to return to its original shape even after compression.

  • Cells are easily harvested by collagenase treatment.

  • It is biodegradable and suitable for cell transplantation.
  • It is immersed in PBS, eliminating the need for static electricity countermeasures and defoaming.
